What a fantastic project it ended up being.
We had over 5000 knitted beanies and helmets, and over 1000 scarves and over 1000 gloves.
We would like to thank all of you assist in this wonderful project.
I would like to advise that this project is now complete.
The beanies were sent to our soldiers in December 2011 and the remainder of the items were distributed throughout organisations like the Salvo's Wesley Missions and Odyssey House to assist in the clothing of families in the coming winter months.
Once again thankyou for all your assistance in this wonderful project, as part of the management team it was a pleasure to work with so many loving people out there.

the wonders of many fabulous magic fingers
What a fantastic response we have had to date.
We are up over 900 beanies at the moment and well on our way to reaching 1500.
If you have any finished can you please drop them off to your local bendigo bank as we would like to deliver them to Sydney.
We would like to head to Sydney in October

Did you know that 2 balls of 8 ply wool, will knit 1 beanie that would help then keep warm in the up coming winter. (records show anything up to 30 below)
If you would like more information please feel free to blog and one of the project team will get back to you.
